I prefer to do my family photo sessions outdoors, it creates a more comfortable space for the kids to play around and be themselves in. I like to not only get those beautiful posed family photos, but also the kids playing together, or chasing a butterfly, or making a snow angel, real lifestyle shots are often the ones that end up touching the hearts of my clients.
How lucky am I? I get to meet brand new sweet babies and take adorable pictures of them. Newborn photography is possibly my favorite type of photography, there is something so peaceful and perfect about a newborn baby. I get to spend a few hours with my newborn clients in their first couple weeks of life, I make sure to get all of the tiny details, from the tiny toes to the squishy rolls, to the pouty lips, I make sure not to miss a thing. I know how quickly these little angels grow and change, so I make sure to give my clients as many images as I can so they never forget just how tiny they once were.
Happy 1st birthday! Your baby is turning one? Wow what a milestone, I just have to set up a beautiful little cake, some streamers and balloons, and let your little one dig into the cake! These photoshoots are a blast, kids go crazy over cake, and these little guys usually don't even know what cake is, it's a new foreign object that they are nervously excited to explore, then once they taste it they go 0-100 and dive right into the cake! These shoots are messy, adorable, and fun and will create photos that you will always put a smile on your face!
There is nothing more beautiful then a woman carrying a baby, so who wouldn't want to capture that on film? This is a time in a womens life that they will never forget and may never experience again, being able to freeze this moment in time for them to cherish and relive forever is priceless.
I absolutely love doing Boudoir photography, and I'll tell you exactly why. It is so empowering for my clients. They typically start off the shoot very nervous, and somewhat selfconsious. Not many people are comfortable in their underwear in front of a stranger, I totally get that! So my main goal going into my boudoir sessions is to right away break down those walls, and get my client to feel comfortable in front of my lens by starting off slow. We will take a few photos and start figuring out poses that work for my clients body type, and I will show her the photos that I'm taking here and there along the way. As she starts to see how beautiful she is and how great the images are coming out things progress from there, and by the end of the shoot we will have created enough gorgeous photos of my client so they leave feeling beautiful and sexy and on top of the world!
I always suggest to my clients to have their makeup professionally done for the shoot, it will really make a difference in the final product, and will make her feel so much more glamorous! I'm not a professional makeup artist by any means, but I do know a thing or two about it, and I am absolutely open to helping my clients with their hair and makeup if need be. I also love to talk to my clients about what that style or look they are going for ahead of time, this way we can collaborate on outfits, backdrops, and poses that best fit her particular style.
Treditionally portraits are taken in a studio in front of a backdrop with fixed lighting. I like to be more creative about my portrait photography. Although I can take indoor portraits, I prefer to be outside, enjoying some natural sunlight and the elements.
Weather it's a 40th surprise birthday party, a baby shower, or a corporate function I got ya covered. Event photography is a lot of fun, I make sure to run around the room to get shots of everything, all of the food, drinks, decor, and guests as possible. If you want to make sure that your event is documented so you can show off how great you are at throwing a party then you got it!
First of all congratulations! This is one of the most exciting times in your life and I am so thrilled for you to be starting your wedding planning process. I just love engagement photoshoots, I get to work with two people who are on top of the world and so excited about this huge step they are going to be taking together. All I have to do is capture that in a photo, right? I love being able to get to know the couple during their engagement photoshoot so that the wedding day we feel comfortable together! I love outdoor engagement shoots, and really enjoy getting to know the couple and their story and figuring out a place and look for their engagement shoot so it really reflects who they are as a couple. Of course I love posing my couples, but some of my favorite shots are in between poses and planned shots when I catch them in a flirty moment, those are always the shots that my clients end up really adoring because it's authentically them!
I am passionate about capturing the true story behind your wedding day. I love the candid nature of photojournalism it is important for me to catch the real life images and events as they unfold on your big day. I realize that not everyone is comfortable in front of a camera, and I work with each of my clients to get them excited about being photographed and comfortable with me quickly which allows me to create very genuine looking portraits. My goal is to provide you with the most gorgeous and true-to-life keepsakes from your wedding! With a mixture of posed and candid shots, I focus on the emotional moments and important relationships that come together to make this day so special.
